About Me.

Born in Athens, Greece, Dimitra is a driven young architect with a passion for innovation and groundbreaking design.

She studied Architectural Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, and her diploma dissertation deals with the re-design of the wildfire-struck town of Mati, in suburban Athens, Greece. As an architect, she always aims at designing unique architecture and creating beautiful, but also functional spaces.

Dimitra is a recent graduate from the post-professional Masters degree in Advanced Architectural Design at UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design. Based upon Studio One -the main architectural research studio, the program focused on innovation, sustainability, biomaterials, and designing for multiple ecologies, with an emphasis on timber construction and wood. Outside the studio, she explored emerging technologies in design, such as formal optimization of structures, robotic fabrication, daylighting metrics and simulations, as well as the integration of XR technologies in architecture.

Combining her architecture background with a minor degree in Leadership and Management, and an experimental masters' degree, has given Dimitra the advantage of viewing the architectural design process through multiple lenses, and the confidence to tackle any design challenge.

She has interned in a research program at the NTUA for the Systematic Analysis of Vernacular Buildings and Settlements, and has worked as a freelance graphic designer for a women empowerment program of the Lambrakis Foundation.
